Arthur Sarnoff, from Brookly, New York, was an American Illustrator who studied at the Industrial School and the Grand Central School of Art in New York City. Here, he studied under John Clymer and Andrew Wyeth and went on to become a widely exhibited member of the Society of Illustrators. He worked on commisioned illustrations for advertising campaigns like Lucky Strike, Coors, Listerine, and Vicks VapoRub and magazines like Cosmopolitan, Esquire, and Good Housekeeping.
His illustrations often depicted humorous and Amaricana themed subject matter. His most well-known work is a painting of dogs playing pool titled "Jack the Ripper". Sarnoff passed away in 2000 in Boca Raton, Florida, United States.
